Job Description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of Senior Contracts Analyst, based in Aberdeen Responsibilities will include: Applying sound business / SCM judgment and decision making to support company business objectives Providing coaching to internal company clients on the application of modern SCM principles Provide commercial support to internal and external stakeholders in all aspects of Category Managed contracting for materials and services in support of the Company's (UKCS) activity. Contribute significantly to safety and operational efficiencies, including the Company's OPEX and CAPEX costs Develop contracting strategies for Production Operations and Reservoir & Wells major activities and being accountable for internal stakeholder engagement and external (JOA) approvals Strategy Implementation and accountable for internal stakeholder engagement and external (JOA) approvals Contract Performance Management that will help support robust contract delivery & performance attainment. Ensuring all contracts reflect company approved contracting positions and assess contractual, financial and liability risk to the company. Ensure adherence to policies, procedures, regulations and laws whilst mitigating the company's exposure to risks and liabilities. Ensure the delivery of robust, fit for purpose contractual arrangements that provide the optimum balance of value, quality, innovation and service delivery to meet the overall business requirements of the company Ensure that the Contractual records within the appropriate electronic and physical repositories are accurately maintained Develop new Contracts to align with Supply Chain strategy and Operational requirements Develop strategy, tender, analyse, negotiate and award Orders and Contracts as per company policies and procedures. Liaise with key client group stakeholders to ensure suitable Supply Management involvement in the development, implementation and evaluation of supply chain contracting strategies. Ensure all key contracts carry a comprehensive set of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) or a Service Level Agreement (SLA) to encourage positive behaviour, both internally and externally, that will help support robust contract delivery and performance attainment Manage and facilitate Quarterly Performance Reviews (QPR) with suppliers and contractors, focusing on shortcomings against KPIs or SLAs ensuring remedial action or an action plan is developed and agreed by all stakeholders. Meet regularly with key contractors to ensure the Company's needs are being met, that strategic value of the relationships are being realised and that the Company is meeting its obligations to the contractor to help position the contract for success. Encourage new initiatives that improve productivity and/or help lower total costs of business. Ensure that cost, quality and schedule are managed consistent with Company contract and procurement policies and procedures Fulfil an active role in supporting the Company in industry supported initiatives such as FPAL and the Supply Chain Forum Education Attainment & Accreditation Business, Finance, Law degree, or equivalent, or suitable equivalent experience through on the job training and development Post Graduate Diploma or Master's Degree, or equivalent, in Supply Chain Management or Commercial Law Fully qualified Member of the Chartered Institute of Purchasing and Supply (CIPS) Skills & Experience Significant experience of SCM operations in the Oil & Gas Industry preferably with an Operator or Tier 1 Contractor Significant experience of Supply Chain Management in the UKCS with an good understanding of the marketplace, and contracting landscape as it applies to production operations, reservoir & wells and projects Significant experience with Strategic Sourcing, Category Management and Performance Management Good experience with ERP/EAMS systems (specifically Maximo) and other associated SCM systems Ability to work with established processes and guidelines but also continually look at areas for improvement.
