Job Description
Our client is currently recruiting for the position of SCM Quality Control Inspection Coordinator, based in Aberdeen Responsibilities will include: Applying sound business / SCM judgment and decision making to support company business objectives Develop and enhance processes and systems for wider use in the discipline. Managing the planning and coordination of Inspection & surveillance activities carried out by 3rd party providers Ensure work is carried out in accordance with relevant Codes, Standards and Procedures. Generation and management of QC inspection budgets - provide cost estimates & execution plans Monitor and report technical integrity of all discipline deliverables to the QC process - including checking & preparation of any design/engineering documentation being issued to suppliers/contractors Ensure all interfaces to other disciplines as part of the QC process are clearly defined and correctly coordinated Providing management and coaching on the application of modern QC principles to all SCM personnel Providing coaching to internal company clients on the application of modern Quality Control principles Build key relationships with internal and external stakeholders and with other support functions to ensure alignment and efficient working Issuance and control of the SCM Quality Plan and maintenance thereof Develop, implement and maintain a Quality Control plan and schedule Maintain and develop current awareness of relevant engineering technology, Codes, Standards and legislative requirements Liaise with other disciplines, departments, and contractors and subcontractors Review, audit and approve Contractor inspectors' qualifications and certification Carry out the specific Quality Surveillance activities as detailed in the Supply Chain Quality Surveillance Plan Assist with the maintenance and development of Quality Control Procedures Plan and maintain progress of Quality Control deliverables Education attainment & Accreditation HND/HNC essential and preferably Graduate in Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Supply Chain Management or other relevant subject or suitable equivalent experience through on the job training and development Post Graduate Diploma or Master's Degree in Engineering, Asset Integrity, Safety & Reliability or other associated discipline preferably Registered Lead Auditor IRCA qualification preferably Knowledge and understanding of ISO 9001 quality system requirements and implementation. Demonstrated background and knowledge of codes of International standards such as EEMUA, AWS, ISO, ASNT, NACE, API, ASME, NORSOK in the discipline of expertise Experience working with Tier 1 EPCI Contractors, vendors and fabricators Working knowledge of computerised systems and word processing and presentation packages Knowledgeable in the requirements of PED and Atex Fundamental understanding of independent verification activities and the role of verification societies Skills & experience Extensive experience of QC processes within the Oil & Gas Industry preferably with an Operator or Tier 1 EPIC Contractor Extensive experience in a similar QC Inspection coordinator role Oil & Gas experience in the UKCS (and globally preferably) with an good understanding of Quality Control processes as it applies to all three business areas - operations, reservoir & wells and project support Extensive experience of liaising with managers and engineers to define field QC inspection requirements Extensive experience of managing 3rd party Inspection & surveillance personnel and methodologies and, ensuring appropriate interaction with all applicable company personnel to resolve queries and solve issues arising from field surveillance activities Generation and management of QC inspection budgets Coordination, Input & participation on regular planning and status meetings on field inspection work-scopes Suitably experienced and qualified in a relevant engineering discipline as well as a proven track record in the discipline of Quality Control Detailed working knowledge and proven abilities in application of National and International codes and standards Very good understanding of Supplier manufacturing processes and fabrication practices Familiar with the surroundings of manufacturing plants and associated health, safety and environmental practice Good knowledge of management systems - e.g. ISO 9001:2000 Extensive experience with P2P process from inception to close out ensuring all supplier documentation is delivered to company requirements Good experience in Materials Management and Logistics Experience with ERP/EAMS systems (specifically Maximo) and their application to QC practices Experience in coaching of QC methodologies for non-QA/QC personnel Contract position If you feel that you are well suited to the above opportunity and would like to find out more then please contact Orion Group for more information or apply by forwarding your current CV quoting reference 904875
